“aloso mesa” meaning I set the table in Luo. This oil painting is about using what you have to celebrate a meal. 3 chairs. 3 candles. 2 plates.1 bowl. 1 wine glass. 1 pair of chopsticks and a butter knife. Nothing is quite complete. I am doing better than when I had just one chair, but I am not where I know I am supposed to be. It is not even enough to invite people over, but this table still matters. This table is still worthy of celebration and the candles make that known. This painting lets me know more is coming.
