Iweya

Iweya means you have left me. I specifically chose the present tense to reflect the scene of this painting. There are 3 candles, but only 2 chairs. 

A third chair missing from the table. 

Only a candle showing they existed. 

I chose to place the third candle on the floor to show the bittersweet separation. 

So many memories can fit this scene. The two chairs could be my parents with my remnants on the floor. This could also fit how it feels like to be the forgotten third wheel.

The emotions are the same.

The isolation is gripping.

The distance so far from the table.

No longer able to commune with them.

Feeling even lower than the outlet.
